Taboola Is Now Realize: What Changed
In February 2025 Taboola launched Realize as its advertising platform for native, display and vertical video formats and opened self-serve to all performance advertisers. The advertiser dashboard formerly known as Taboola Ads (ads.taboola.com) moved to ads.realizeperformance.com, and old help.taboola.com links now redirect to realize.com/help. The company is still Taboola; the advertiser product is Taboola Realize.
Some metrics were renamed along the way: what used to be «Viewable Impressions» is now «Impressions», and the old «Impressions» are now «Served Ads». Keep this in mind when you compare reports from different periods. Realize also brought Predictive Audiences, a Performance Simulator, the Gen AI Ad Maker and, in 2026, the Realize+ AI system.
Backstage is a different thing. Today it is the publisher dashboard and the name of the Taboola API. If a guide calls Backstage the advertiser dashboard, it is outdated.
What a Taboola Agency Account Is
A Taboola agency account is a Realize advertiser account opened and maintained on the agency side and handed to you ready for campaigns. In Taboola's own structure, a Network account sits at the top — it does not run campaigns itself but gives cross-account reporting and bulk tools — and below it are sub-accounts (advertiser accounts) where campaigns live. Agencies use this hierarchy to run many advertisers from one place.
Accounts in Realize are either self-serve or managed through a Taboola Account Manager. Managed accounts get options that self-serve does not: prepayment by card, ACH and check, credit limits and monthly invoices. Taboola agency ad accounts from AdsRiver give you a working sub-account for your campaigns, while billing and top-ups stay with the agency.
Why not register yourself? You can, self-serve is open. But then the card limits, billing setup, campaign review and every support conversation are on you. With a Taboola ads agency account you focus on offers, creatives and bids, and the manager takes the rest.

Is there a Taboola Ads minimum deposit? Taboola does not publish one: card prepayment for managed accounts has no minimum. What Realize does publish are budget rules tied to your CPA goal — about 10× CPA per day for Maximize Conversions and at least 5× CPA per day for Enhanced CPC and Fixed Bid. Plan the test budget from your CPA, not from a deposit figure.

GEO, Currency and EU Billing
Taboola has no «GEO account» as such: the countries where your ads run are set in campaign targeting. What the account does have is a billing region and currency. Card prepayment is available for accounts billed in the US, Brazil, Japan, France, Spain, Germany, Israel, the UK and the EU, and billing currencies include EUR and GBP.
Running Europe? Name your countries and preferred currency in the request — we confirm the billing setup before the first top-up. Restricted categories also have country rules, so GEO is part of the policy check.
